A self-taught artist, Annie’s experience growing up in the country has formed her love of landscape paintings with a strong sense of colour.
Most of her paintings are from the imagination in a naive style.
In the last 5 years Annie has been interested in hand building earthenware ceramics and has enjoyed making practical vessels in all shapes and sizes.
Hand painting each piece as a one off with its own design. Each piece is glazed and food safe.
Annie has been in a finalist in Inaugural Cricket Art Prize, Hornsby, Waverley & Wingecarribee art prizes. She has had 3 Solo exhibitions.
Exhibited in the International Festival of Naive Art in Katowice, Poland in 2018.
Her artworks are collected throughout Australia, USA & UK.
Naïve art is often seen as outsider art which is without formal training or degree. While this was true before the twentieth century, there are now academies for naïve art. Naïve art is now a fully recognized art genre, represented in art galleries worldwide.
